Geetika Agarwal
Queen Of House

Tell us a bit about you, your family and your life in UAE.
Myself Gitika – “Queen of House” . Suggestion to ladies that please don’t quote yourself as housewife as you haven’t married to a house rather quote yourself as “Queen of House”. I am very happy that I am queen of house. I have lovely family which is my life (my husband and 2 loving kids)

When and how did your journey to UAE begin?

Dubai was my first foreign trip and I came here just 1 month after our marriage in 2008. I was very excited and it was way beyond my imagination.

Tell us something interesting about your social gatherings, friends, and food habits?
I am very talkative and quite famous in my social circle & friends. I am a foodie & love spicy food - specifically Golgappe – I would have literally tried golgappe’s of every chat shop in Dubai

Tell us about your favorite: hangout place, Vacation spot, Shopping destination, traditional food in UAE.
My favorite hangout place is Meena Bazaar alias “Chandni Chowk of Dubai” – love to roam, eat chat, gol gappe, shopping bla..bla..bla.. JJ

How much do you miss India and what do you miss the most?
I miss my family & friends specially “Concorde Moms” (Gang of friends in Concorde Manhattans, Bengaluru). Actually it’s difficult to say what do you miss in india as every moment spent in your nation is unforgettable.

How do you feel about residing in Bahrain? What do you like the most about UAE?
I have lived in Bahrain for almost a year and find it ok but has very limited places to visit. Alternatively – there are multiple hangout spots in UAE. UAE is one of the best countries to visit or reside – the best part is that it is safe for ladies and crime rate is quite low.

How easy or difficult was it to settle in during the first few months
It was a bit difficult to find the accommodation in Dubai which fits in your budget. Most of the key areas are quite expensive. Apart from searching accommodation it was fairly easy to get settled.
