A newborn and her mother were safely repatriated to India after the baby was born during the mother’s transit via Doha’s Hamad International Airport. The journey in transit was from Ahmedabad to Atlanta, USA.

The Embassy of India in Doha coordinated the repatriation. Community groups Punarjani Qatar and Gujarati Samaj provided key assistance.

The embassy expressed gratitude to all involved for ensuring the mother and baby were safe.
