Cricket fever is set to grip Qatar as the Karnataka Rajatha Cup (KRC) tournament gets underway on October 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the Qatar Foundation Cricket Ground. The four-day tournament, organized by Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) and Karnataka Royals Qatar, will run from October 14 to 17, marking a major highlight of Karnataka Sangha Qatar’s Silver Jubilee Year celebrations.

The grand opening ceremony will be held on October 14 at 7 PM, graced by Mr. E.P. Abdurahiman, President of the Indian Sports Center (ISC), as Chief Guest. Renowned actor Mr. Hariprashanth M.G., known for his role in Kantara Chapter 1, will join as Guest of Honour.

The tournament will showcase some of the best community cricketing talent, kicking off with a curtain-raiser match between “Best of India” and “Best of Karnataka.”

The final and closing ceremony, scheduled for October 17 (Friday evening), will feature Former Indian Cricketer Mr. Vijay Bharadwaj and Sandalwood Director Mr. Harsha as Special Guests of Honour. A special exhibition match between Indian Embassy XI and the KRC Organising Committee XI will add a festive conclusion to the event.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, KSQ President Mr. Ravi Shetty shared,

“KRC is not just about cricket—it’s about celebrating Karnataka’s spirit, sportsmanship, and unity. We welcome everyone to join us for four exciting days of action and togetherness.”

As part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations, 25 distinguished individuals will be honoured with the ‘Kreeda Rathna’ and ‘Kreeda Poshaka Rathna’ awards, recognizing their remarkable contributions to cricket and sports promotion.

With celebrity guests, thrilling matches, and a vibrant community spirit, the Karnataka Rajatha Cup 2025 promises to be a grand celebration of cricket and camaraderie in Qatar.
