Shahid Alam named new Indian consul general

Mohammed Shahid Alam, former deputy consul general and Hajj consul, has been appointed new Consul General of India in Jeddah. He succeeds Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh, who left the Kingdom on July 6. India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued on Friday an order appointing Alam as the new consul general.
