Kuwait honours veteran Indian doctor for over three decades of service

Dr. Ramesh Kumar Pandita, a renowned consultant in blood tumors, was honored by Kuwait's Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, for his 32 years of service in Kuwait. He has been a pivotal figure in the Hematology Department at the Kuwait Cancer Control Center, treating blood cancer patients, particularly those with leukemia and myeloma.
Dr. Pandita has also played a significant role in training Kuwaiti doctors and specialists, contributing to enhancing local medical expertise in the field of hematology.
He has been actively involved in research and has represented the Kuwait Cancer Control Center at numerous international and global forums focused on blood tumors. The Ministry of Health highlighted Dr. Pandita's remarkable commitment during the COVID-19 pandemic, working tirelessly despite his advanced age and health challenges.
Dr. Ramesh Pandita has graduated from University of Kashmir, India in 1977 and obtained MD from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India in 1982. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, European Hematology Association, Kuwait Oncology Society and Kuwait Medical Association.
