3. When and how did your journey abroad begin?
This wonderful journey began in 1991 when I was in India looking to do Postgraduate and thought of going abroad and finally after all the research chose Saudi Arabia.

4. What is your advice for those aspiring to work abroad?
Honestly, living abroad is a great experience in its own way. Be prepared to learn new things each and everyday. As far as work is concerned, one needs to follow strict timelines as people here are very disciplined in this regard. The good thing about working abroad is that you get to a draw a line between your professional and private life, given you do your work well!
Also, make sure you carry some snacks if you are a foodie like I am!

5. How helpful is the Indian community to those who have recently arrived? Can you share any personal experiences?
I think it's a human tendency that people unite and get along well in a foreign country. The same thing happens here. The Indian community is very helpful out here, specially when you are a newcomer. We got all the required information like directions, documents related instructions, medical clause, travel requisites, etc before hand, courtesy the Indian community.
I had no personal experience as I already had few friends here for helping me out in the initial days.

6.How do you spend your leisure time?
Whenever I get time, I try and stay in touch with my family and friends at home as much as I can. It makes me feel happy to see their faces, hear their voice and know for sure that everyone’s okay. Besides that i am a sports lover i play cricket during weekends and freakout with friends on Desert Safari and ending up with BBQ parties. It usually involves exploring the new city and a few places away from the mayhem.

7. What do you miss most about home?
I miss my family, home, food and all the fun & frolic which only INDIA can provide. I miss my nation and mostly the feeling of being there. Also i miss my son a lot who is doing MS from University of ILLINOIS - Chichago.
