Writers' Forum Kuwait pays tribute to Ex-Vice President

Truly those who leave an everlasting impression on the hearts of others, remain immortal forever. So will, the Ex- Vice President of Writers’ Forum Kuwait and famous poetess Mrs. Chhaya Attavale, who left for heavenly abode on 25th May 2023.
With hearts filled with emotions and heads bowed with respect for the late member, the members of the Writers’ Forum Kuwait met for a condolence meeting at the residence of the General Secretary Ms. Nazneen Ali, on Friday 16th June 2023.
Mrs. Chhaya Athavale was poet having strong grip on three languages and exceling equally in all. She was a Hindi, Gujrati and Marathipoet and writer who contributed to the enrichment of literature particularly related to Children. She an academician who was actively involved in Child Development and Children Psychology through her poems and short plays. She was an active member of the Writers’ Forum Kuwait and served the Forum as a Vice President before she left Kuwait for good couple of years back.
The condolence meeting started with Nazneen Ali reciting an award winning poem in Hindi that was composed by the late poetessMrs Chhaya Athavale. This was followed by an article by the President Mrs. Maimuna Chougle, who provided an in-depth insight into Mrs. Chhaya’s proficiency as a writer and her personal character that left a profound impact on others. The glimpse of Mrs. Chhaya’s multilingual skills were further showcased by Ms. Pallavi Nithin reciting the late poet’s Marathi poem.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Sabiha Bilgrami, Ms. Kalpana Shah, Ameeruddin Ameer, Aamir Diwan, Mohan Singh and Sayeed Nazar. All the members expressed regret on the sad demise of the late member. She was remembered by one and all for her pleasing personality that influenced everyone whom she met. The members wished that a posthumous release of Mrs. Chhaya Athavale’s poetry should be done to make her writings available for the benefit of the masses. The meeting concluded with everyone recollecting the memories of the event “Ek Shaam Chhaya Athavale ke naam”, that the Forum had earlier organized in honor of Mrs.Chhaya Athavale.
Before the dispersal, Mrs. Maimuna Chougle and Ms. Nazneen Ali expressed their gratitude to the members for being a part of this condolence meet that was tribute to the late member while the members thanked Nazneen Ali for arranging the same
