GCC Set to Launch Unified Traffic Fine System – 95% Complete
Wednesday, September 3, 2025 Kuwait

According to the GCC Secretary-General, HE Jasem Mohammed Albudaiwi, the project to unify traffic violation systems across all GCC countries is now 95% complete. Once implemented, this system will enable traffic violations recorded in one member state to be automatically recognized and enforced in the driver's home country. The plan includes real-time data exchange and additional priority services to serve citizens and residents better.

The initiative is expected to significantly improve compliance with traffic laws and reduce cross-border recurrences of offences. It represents one of the key steps taken by GCC countries toward smarter, integrated, and seamless regional transport regulation.
