A 38-year-old migrant worker from Nizamabad, Telangana, Syed Baba, collapsed at Dubai Airport while on transit to Abha, Saudi Arabia. He is currently under treatment at Rashid Hospital in Dubai, and his family is appealing for his repatriation.
On October 3, Baba flew from Mumbai to Dubai on Fly Dubai Flight FZ-446, arriving at 7:05 AM. He was scheduled to take a connecting flight to Abha (FZ-813) later the same day at 4:00 PM. But he missed that flight, his phone went offline, and all contact was lost for four days.
His wife, Sameena Begum, registered a plea with Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy through the Pravasi Prajavani portal seeking urgent assistance for his return. The Telangana NRI Advisory Committee, under Mandha Bheem Reddy, liaised with Fly Dubai and embassy channels. The airline confirmed that Baba had collapsed in the airport terminal and was rushed to Rashid Hospital.
Volunteers from Nizamabad, Nayeem and Kottala Nara Goud, are providing on-ground help, keeping in touch with hospital staff and the family. The government officials and community groups are working together to arrange his medical repatriation once his health allows.
