MADAD Platform Resolves Over 5,400 Grievances from Indians Abroad in 2024

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, has been operating the MADAD (MEA in Aid of Diaspora in Distress) platform since 2015 to address consular grievances of Indians abroad.

🔹 Key services offered via MADAD:

  • Court case support

  • Assistance for Indian prisoners abroad

  • Salary and compensation disputes

  • Repatriation of mortal remains

  • Domestic worker issues

  • Missing persons cases

Even Indian students studying overseas can submit complaints through the platform.

As per a recent parliamentary reply, of the 5704 complaints received in 2024, a remarkable 5467 cases have already been resolved.
