Indian Father Missing in Dubai for Over Two Years – Family Seeks Help

A 39-year-old Indian man, Rakesh Kumar Jangid, from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, has been missing in Dubai for over two years, leaving his family devastated. Rakesh, a skilled marble installer, arrived in the UAE on 21 June 2023 on a 60-day tourist visa.

Initially, he stayed in touch with his family through daily calls. However, on 6 July 2023, his family received a distressed call where he mentioned a fight on the 14th floor of the building where he was working and said he did not have a local SIM card. After that, he disappeared completely.

In March 2024, the agent who helped Rakesh find the Dubai job reportedly sent a voice message to his family claiming that he was in jail and needed assistance. His brother, Makkhan Lal, traveled to Dubai and visited hospitals, jails, and police stations, including Al Muraqqabat Police Station, but could not locate him.

Rakesh’s 18-year-old daughter, Khushi, recently shared an emotional video holding her father’s framed photo, appealing to the public for help. The Indian Consulate in Dubai confirmed that they are following up with local authorities, but his visa expired on 19 August 2023, complicating the search.

The family remains hopeful, pleading for information about Rakesh’s whereabouts:
"If he’s alive, let us talk to him. If not, at least tell us what happened," said his brother.

Authorities continue to investigate, and the family urges anyone with information to come forward.
