Bahrain Media City (BMC), in partnership with Megamart, inaugurated the Shravana Mahotsavam 2025—a 30-day celebration of Onam focused on the expatriate workforce. The festivities began on August 30, 2025, with a lively flag-hoisting ceremony marked by Chendamelam rhythms, Thalappoli dances, and the symbolic entrance of Maveli Mannan inviting dignitaries to the stage.

Notable Highlights Include:

• Work Attire Distribution: Onappudava was handed out to over 1,000 workers as part of the cultural outreach.

• Honorees: Humanitarians U.A. Muneer and Abdul Azeez were recognized for their work with differently-abled children in Wayanad.

• Entertainment: Mimicry artists K.S. Prasad and Sumesh turned the evening lively with comedy, followed by classical, cinematic, and Kerala art performances.
