Dubai Airport Launches World’s First AI-Powered Immigration Corridor
Monday, August 18, 2025 Dubai
Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s busiest airport in international traffic, has launched a revolutionary AI-powered immigration corridor, allowing travelers to clear immigration without stopping, presenting passports, or interacting with officers. This is believed to be the first of its kind globally.
The initiative, unveiled by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), processes up to 10 passengers simultaneously in a seamless, “red carpet” experience that takes just seconds. The system leverages advanced AI and facial recognition technology to verify identities and automatically flag any suspicious cases for manual review.
Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri described it as a “quantum leap in smart travel,” emphasizing DXB’s transformation into a futuristic gateway and a showcase of innovation.
Travelers passing through the corridor have shared overwhelmingly positive feedback. Some described the experience as smoother than at top-tier international airports, calling it a travel breakthrough
